Cog is a small, deliberate design studio. We take on the parts of a machine that keep people up at night — and we treat them with the seriousness they deserve.
Four traits decide whether hard hardware gets built. We hire and work for all four.
We start with the people who have to live with the design — the technician at the bench, the reviewer signing off, the engineer on call at 2am. A part that ignores them isn't finished.
We'd rather ask the question everyone is avoiding than defend an answer we already like. The interesting failures live in the assumptions nobody re-checks.
We believe the right design exists for every problem — lighter, simpler, more honest — and that it's worth the argument to find it.
The problems we take on don't yield to cleverness. They yield to someone who refuses to put them down until the machine tells the truth.
